Special Olympics

Eight kids were selected from Kaden's school to spend the day at Cheyenne H.S. last Friday and help with the Special Olympics. They were chosen to be mentors with the Special Olympic kids and do all of the events with them and cheer them on. Kaden was so happy that he got to be one of the kids selected to help. Amber and I had tears in our eyes as we watched him with his arm around the kids and cheered for them at the top of his lungs when they participated in each of the events. Kaden is such a sweet, tender boy who has such a pure love and genuine kindness in his heart. I'm so grateful he never acts like some cocky jock who thinks he is better than everyone...that would never enter his mind. No wonder his football jersey says "Sweetness"!

At the end of the events, the organizers let the mentors from the different schools run the 40 yard dash.
While Kaden IS very sweet...he is also VERY competitive. He led the pack and finished 1st!!
