MM41

41 Memory Monday posts...that's kinda crazy... Time really does fly by.

This MM brings back a sweet memory of going to visit Mom and Dad and my brothers at the old Huntington Jewelers in the Maryland Square Shopping Center. I took the kids from the time they were brand new to go and see Grami at the "shop." This day at the shop Sharon was there too with Justin. This is a sweet picture of Mom with her first two grandkids ... I can still see her hugging, kissin', squeezing the kids and lovin' them and showing any customer who came in the store her "grandbabies." I can still picture her desk, which was absolutely perfect with everything in it's place and completely organized. Mom did. not. like. anyone messing up her desk!
Well, except the grandkids. They got away with anything.

Jennie loved getting some of the paper from Grami's adding machine and drawing little doodles all over it... I think Jennie's artistic abilities started on the floor at Grami and Grandpa's jewelry store. They had a special drawer of old watches and stuff that they let the kids pick something out of every time we stopped by. And Grami always walked with us down to Glee's Party Shop where she knew the people personally and always let the girls pick out a treat. Mom would always just say, "put it on my tab" & her friends at Glee's always did.
Sweet memories...(even though Uncle Ron always scared the kids half to death!)
