I am my mother's daughter, Ally. I am writing this post for her to tell the world of her mother, my Grami.
My lovely mother lost her beloved mother this mother's day, May 10th.
Thank you on behalf of my mother, and all of our family, for all those who have sent flowers, brought food, and been a friend to us in this hard time.
Although there have been a ton of tears, we've found comfort and peace through our Savior.
And I am so grateful to the one who taught my mother how to trust in the Lord, my Grami and Grampa Huntington. Because of that, my Dad and Mother have been able to teach us(me and my sisters) faith in Jesus Christ. And that is what will get us through anything hard or sad or painful. That knowledge has been the foundation of peace in our home and will continue to be.

Tomorrow, May 16th, we will be having a funeral service at the Monte Cristo and Oakey LDS chapel. The viewing will be at 10am and the funeral will be from 11 to 12 for all those who would like to support my Mother and celebrate the life of her Mother, Colleen Gentry Huntington.

Thanks for the extra post, Ally. And Linda, I'm so sorry to hear about your mom. My mom said the services were beautiful - some of the most uplifting she's ever attended! Hope you are all well.

Hi Linda! Your brother Ron forwarded your blog address to my brother, Lee, then he forwarded it on to me. I was so grateful to be able to attend the funeral of Uncle Bob in St. George last week and of being able to visit with Uncle Jack and Ron and his wife. We had such a special visit. I really wanted to come to Aunt Colleen's funeral, but had commitments here at home. I'm grateful Lee and Nancy were able to make it. The pictues of your mother are beautiful. They remind me so much of my mom. I have always had a special place in my heart for Aunt Colleen and Uncle Jack. I wish we would have been able to spend more time together as cousins. My love goes out to all of your family. Hopefully we can stay more connected. My email is amoser@silverstar.com and my blog is jimandamymoserfamily.blogspot.com I would love to hear from you. My love, Amy

Pres. Schlauder and Linda, I was so sorry to hear of both of your beautiful, sweet mothers passing away. It really is hard loosing our parents that we love so dearly, but we know we will see them and be with them again. I spent many hours after my parents passing looking through their pictures and just spending time in their home. I loved it. In a way a closure. It was then that I realized that earthly belongings really don't matter at times like this, but rather the memories that you will always have in your heart. I am amazed at your strength and wonderful attitude. You and your family are such perfect examples of continuing on even when the road is rocky and tough. Thank you for sharing your life. With Much love and respect..Judy Jolley
