Shrek and cute Bristol

In November, Sharon and I traveled to Utah to see Noah preform in his school play, Shrek. He was hilarious! I haven't laughed that hard in a really, really long time!! He played the role of 4 ft. tall Lord Farquaad...he was on his knees the whole time. It was fabulous!! And he was so happy we came...we had a blast!

 Lehi High School puts on the best plays! 

We can't wait till the spring to go up there again to see their next play.

We met Bristol, Janika and Azurdee for breakfast before heading home the next day.  

The kids are so big & cute!... and Bristol is quite the talker:) He melts my heart.

 There is so much to catch up on... it's a little overwhelming. 

But, today I just had to post one of my very favorite Christmas gifts ever. Made me cry.

Changes

The First week of December brought some big changes for my dear husband and for many others. For the last eight and a half years Allyn has served as the Stake President of the Sandstone Stake of our church. It has been such an amazing blessing for our whole family. He loved all of the people he had the pleasure to work with and to serve. So many incredible friendships were made, and experiences that will always be cherished. All of the amazing people serving in our stake truly gave with all their hearts and blessed so many lives.  The Hyers hosted a wonderful High Counsel Christmas party at their home. We had a great time, and yet it was a little sad knowing it would be the last time this group would serve together in this same way. Our family is so grateful for all of the special experiences and blessings that the past 8 1/2 years have brought. We are so blessed. 

I love the gospel and the closeness that serving together in the church brings.

 

 

On Sunday Elder Ellis released Allyn, Dodd and Robert from serving in the Stake Presidency. Bitter/sweet for sure...and lots of adjustments.

We support our new Stake Presidency and we are excited for our new Las Vegas Stake. 

There are so many wonderful people, who love the Lord with all their hearts, and serve and give so freely.

And after almost 14 years, my husband can sit with me at church:)

Thanksgiving 2013

Thanksgiving 2013 was one of the best, most wonderful Thanksgivings we have ever had...thanks to our amazing friends, Jan and Derrick, who let us spend it at their beautiful cabin. We played, laughed, ate, laughed and ate some more, and completely enjoyed being together.  All of our immediate family was there...and I know that Amber, Leah and Caleb were smiling down from heaven too, knowing that we were all together. We were thrilled that Lisa and James, and some of their sweet family also joined us:) It was so, so much fun!

The day after Thanksgiving, November 29th was the 2 year mark since our precious Leah passed away. That is so hard to believe. On that day, we all wrote special letters about her, cried lots of tears and shared our treasured memories of our beautiful Leah. We are all beyond grateful that we were able to go to this beautiful place and make more treasured memories. It was a Thanksgiving that we will never forget.
