Amy's friend, Naomi (she works for MGM special events) had some extra tickets for the Academy of Country Music's Girls Night Out last night and so Amy called and wondered if we wanted to go. Of course I said yes, and got busy calling some friends...and before long 10 of us were able to go! It was so much fun, I love these ladies. (We missed those of you that weren't able to come...) It was great to all get together, laugh, have fun and get to do something we normally would never have the chance to do.
We had no idea until we got there that it was really called Girls Night Out...that's pretty funny. Well, us girls had some good ole' country fun for sure. We might have even talked Allison and Barb into being country music fans...well, maybe just a little bit.
Some of the stars were, The Judds, Martina McBride, Sugarland's Jennifer Nettles, Reba, Miranda Lambert, Rascal Flatts, and lots more. The best song of the night by far was Carrie Underwood and Vince Gill's duet of
How Great Thou Art. Oh, my goodness it was amazing. It was the perfect way to finish off a great night.
Thank you Amy and Naomi!!! If you ever need to find a home for some tickets again...we'll be glad to put them to good use.
