TIMBER

As promised...pictures of the Slade families new dog. Timmmmmmberrrr or Timmy or Tim Tim is so cute!! 

I even said I would babysit when they go out of town. 

All the kids love him so much...at one time last week there were 16 kids sitting in their family room playing with him! Oh my. And yes, Timber's even had his first photo shoot...he's quite the celebrity.

Memory Monday 101

 

We don't get snow in Vegas very often, like hardly ever, so when it snows here it's pretty exciting. 

I remember this snowy Sunday in 1979 and how happy Amber was to get to go to church with Grami, Grampa and Aunt Lisa... in the snow!

When I look at all of these pictures from the luncheon that was held after the graveside service for our LeeLee, my heart... again, is overflowing with gratitude and love for our family, friends and all of our loved ones. We are so blessed. So many people have been praying for our family and offering all of their love and support. I want you to know that we feel all of that love and kindness more than you'll ever know. Thank you, thank. you. for everything. We love you.

We received a wonderful letter from some dear friends. At the end of the letter they shared some special thoughts and some quotes from our church leaders. It was just what I needed today.

MM 100... Grandpa Schlauder

 Last week, the home that Allyn grew up in was sold. As he went back there a couple of days ago to finish gathering up some of the last boxes at the house, he found some awesome pictures and treasures.
Arthur Schlauder, Allyn's dad, was such a wise, kind, fun, honest, good man. 

Everyone who knew Art Schlauder loved and respected him. Oh, we miss him.

Allyn's dad was a great athlete in High School and college at the University of Iowa. We always heard about the records he set in track and field and how fast he was. A couple of his records stood for 30 years or more. 

It's so fun to see these pictures and old newspaper clippings.
