Memory Monday 113

Ally, Jennie and Amy
I am grateful that these three have always been so close.  They were all out of town this week end, Cancun, New York and Arizona...geesh. I wanted to be with them, in all three places:)

Dear Tooth Fairy...

Kate lost her very first tooth this morning. She was so excited because she has waited a long, long time to lose a tooth!!! All of her friends have already lost a few teeth, so her first letter to the tooth fairy was a really big deal...

Man, have times changed. I only ever got .50 for a tooth...maybe a dollar if I was lucky:) We kind of broke it to her that even with inflation, she'll be lucky if the tooth fairy brings her 1 or 2 dollars...
(and that's if the tooth fairy remembers haha)

Again!

Kaden broke his foot playing football AGAIN! I can't believe this cute boy is still smiling even though he  has to be in this non-walking cast for 4 weeks. No sports for Kaden for 4 weeks...misery, for him and for me. I told him that now we will have plenty of time for getting homework done. He stopped smiling.
Coach John manages a medical supply place and he really hooked Kaden up. He has his own electric scooter and he gets to take a knee scooter to school everyday. So much better than crutches.

Cover Girl

We got a call Saturday saying that Miss Kate was on the cover of the Church News!! And there was a picture of me too... oh my. Allyn wasn't even mentioned in the article about our stake's community garden, which is pretty funny since he had A LOT to do with it. He was very happy that his name wasn't mentioned...that's just the way he wanted it. The Provident Community Garden is doing wonderful. I took Dad there yesterday to water with me, and pick some fresh cilantro for our guacamole dip:):) It was fun to visit with friends and see all of the wonderful vegetables that are growing. I'm pretty sure I could have gone to Smith's and bought a bunch of fresh cilantro...but it wouldn't have been nearly as much fun as seeing it grow from seed and picking it from our garden:))

Kate's 7th birthday was Saturday, so it was pretty exciting for her to be a "Cover Girl" on her big day!
Happy birthday Kate...We LOVE YOU!!!!

Wedding Part 3

I'm still waiting for Jennie's pictures...she is just waaayyy too busy. I honestly don't know how she does it all!!
But until then, here are some that were snapped with my camera and some really good ones that Amy took.
The minute Ally and Steve walked out of the temple, the wind started blowing like crazy!! It didn't seem to matter much though, because everyone was so happy and we had a great time taking all of these fun pictures.
The kids are not too sure that they want to share THEIR Aunt Ally with Steve!

Levi stole the show:)

Egg Hunt

After church on Sunday, we had the gang over for dinner, egg coloring and a little backyard Easter egg hunt. The kids are so cute and I'm glad that they all still love family traditions.

Memory Monday 111

Grandpa Cliff and Grandma Hazel Huntington, me holding Amy, Kristy, Leah, Amber and Jennie

Yesterday as I cut some roses for our Easter table, I thought of my Grandpa Cliff and Grandma Hazel Huntington. Their yard always had the most beautiful roses. They lived in St. George right down the street from the temple for as many years as I can remember. We loved going to their house and we all felt more love there than you can imagine. Fresh cut roses always seemed to be in a beautiful vase on the table. They would always feed us, and even if we were not hungry at all...we always ate. I can still taste the fresh cut up peaches with honey and half & half poured over them. Yum!  And they always had candy in the candy jars too. They were the most wonderful, righteous, loving grandparents any girl could ever dream of.
Yesterday, I thought of them, along with many others, running to greet Leah, kiss her cheeks, help to heal her broken heart, and shower her with love.
Easter was a beautiful day...and this year perhaps more than any other, the messages went straight to my heart.
It was an emotional day, but truly one filled with peace, hope and assurances that we'll be together again.
I am so grateful for my Savior and His perfect love.

The Big Day...Wedding part 2

Katie came over bright and early to get Ally all beautified. So pretty:)

The ceremony in the temple was beautiful, sacred and everything Allyson has dreamed of her whole life.
Ally and Steven were given wonderful council and advice in a beautiful ceremony in which they were sealed together forever. The heaven like room was filled with family & friends and was truly overflowing with love.

Everyone was waiting for Ally and Steve to come out of the temple!!!

Jennie was waiting for the perfect shot...

Finally... Yay!! Mr. and Mrs. Steven Carter

Wedding Dinner

The night before Ally and Steve's wedding, Zan, Kathy, Mary, Mollie and Keri all helped to put on an amazing family and bridal party dinner for us. I cry just thinking about how lucky I am to have so many amazing friends and wonderful family who love and support us so much. Kathy had the idea, she called Zan and before we knew it, everything was all planned! It just couldn't have been any more wonderful than it was.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!
It was so much fun to have a dinner with Steve's family, our family, bridesmaids and groomsmen the night before Ally & Steve were married. We laughed, told stories, shared memories, enjoyed a wonderful setting and fabulous, delicious food. They spoiled us for sure!!!!
