Girls Weekend...

Jennie, Taylor and I had a great couple of days in St. George,Utah. We went to see the play Sound of Music at Tuacahn (tuacahn.org). It was awesome and we had a great time, and enjoyed being with some of Jennie's friends from her ward too... this was one of their Relief Society activities. I was just a little concerned that Jennie's water would break or that she would go into labor... but this little guy is being a bit stubborn and we are all still waiting!!! It worked out great and despite getting a flat tire on the way back to the hotel after the play, we had a great girls weekend.
We even went shopping on Saturday and Taylor picked out some fabric for her baptism dress. I can hardly believe that she will be eight next month!
I think this needs to be a new summer tradition.

Nintendo DS Crazy Boys...

So, this summer has been awesome so far... even though all the kiddos are eating me out of house and home, I hear "I'm bored" all day long!, and these boys are video game CRAZED! Yesterday I told them that they had to go out and swim (rough life I know) because they had been playing video games long enough. They did for a little while... then later I said "OK you boys go out and jump on the trampoline or play baseball or something!" It was a little too quiet and so I went out to check on them and this is what I found... Ahhhhhh! I have decided to start putting the timer on and when it goes off...no more video games!

They are just so dang cute!...I usually give in. Oh well, what are Grandma's for?

Happy Anniversary Jennie and Chad...

How is it possible that you two have been married for ten years?!
We Love You! We Love You! We Love You!
You are beautiful in every way...

Dance Recital...

Last Saturday was the big Bunker Dance Recital and it was amazing! Of course Taylor and Kate were the cutest little dancers out there... but, I have to say that all of dancers were great. I even got the goose bumps watching some of the older girls performances.... It is so rewarding to see how much time and effort these kids put into something that they love to do, and then see the awesome results of all of their efforts.
Way to go girls! You Rock!!!
Check out my cute little dancers...

Happy Father's Day

I know Father's Day is almost over, but I wanted to tell my dad how much I love him and that I am so lucky, blessed and grateful that he is my dad. Everyone used to say that he looked like Clark Gable... I think he is even more handsome! But more than that, he is such an amazing, wonderful dad and I love him with all my heart! I have always known that my dad absolutely loves me and would do anything for me and each of my brothers and my sister. He has always encouraged us and made us feel that we could do anything. He taught us all what it means to love the Lord and to love and serve others. He can recite more poetry than anyone I have ever met... and in spite of our complaining Dad, we all really do love to hear every single one of your amazing poems. I could go on and on and on... but just know this Dad...
I LOVE YOU!!!!!

My dad has always loved motorcycles and all six of us kids were riding with Dad from the time we were really young! We have some incredible, great memories of riding...
I even got to go all the way to the Indy 500 on the back of his BMW when I was 12 years old!

Dad has always adored, loved, and cared for our beautiful mother. The way he protects, loves and serves her now is such a great example of an eternal love that began over 63 years ago...

And Happy Father's Day to Allyn David! I love you my sweetheart. You are better than any dream I ever dreamed and I will love you forever...Thank you for being the greatest husband ever created, the best dad in the world to our girls, and the greatest Grampa Al in the universe! I LOVE YOU!!!

Fruit!

Allyn was very proud of his fruit trees this year. We have tried many times to have a garden, but have always failed... this desert and our lack of a green thumb have made gardening impossible. He did love picking all this glorious fruit though and even took a huge bowl to work to share. It looks prettier than it tastes, but Grampa Al and Kaden sure like it. Kaden likes anything that is sour (sour skittles, green apples, etc.) so the sour plums suit him just fine!

Baby Shower

Jennie's adorable friends gave her a baby shower last night. It was so much fun and she received lots of wonderful gifts for her soon to be new little baby boy. We are all so excited for this new little one to get here! Jennie and Chad are having a hard time picking out a name, so they may have to wait until he gets here and decide what name fits him best. Names they have been thinking of are... Levi, Clark, Crew, Hudson (Jennie doesn't like the idea of saying..."Come on Kate and Hudson") and a few dozen more... Ahhh decisions!!!
Whatever name they choose will be perfect and I can't wait to hold, hug and spoil with love our newest little grandson.
There were lots of pregnant tummy's last night... I counted at least five. And it is so cute how they all wear these stylish, tight fitting, cute clothes. Way back in the olden days we wore clothes that basically could be described as tents! My how times have changed... and so much for the better. I love seeing these sweet young moms...they are truly beautiful in every way.
Jennie hates having her picture taken when she is pregnant, but she is so dang cute I couldn't resist... sorry Jen, but you know me and the camera.

All of our grandbabies get one of these old fashion nylon tricot, very soft and fluffy blankies. I know Kaden, Jackson and Taylor still sleep with their blankies every night.
They love the big soft ruffle.

Taylor is the best big sister and can hardly wait for her baby brother to get here!
A big thank you to Allison, Angie and all of Jennie's great friends for giving her this shower. It was wonderful!
Thank You Thank You...

Kaden and Grami are both #1

Tonight was the championship for Kaden's Little League baseball team...The Cubs, and they won...YEA!!!! The Cubs went undefeated and won 17 games in a row! This was Kaden's first time playing baseball and he absolutely loved it. His coaches were so awesome and the whole team was such a great group of boys... we are just sad that this season is over. I have a feeling it will be the first of many more to come. Way to go Cubs!

Last night we took my beautiful Mom to dinner to celebrate her birthday. Someone asked her how old she was and she said "age is just a number, and mine's unlisted!!" She is so cute. All I know is that she is #1 in all of our hearts... You're the best mom and we all love you more than words could ever say. Happy Birthday!

Birthday... Wedding... Baptism...Kidshine

Things have been a little crazy again, and I haven't even had a minute to sit down to the computer, thus my slacker blogging as of late! On May 28th was Jackson's 6th birthday and we took some great pictures of all of the kids at the park. I still don't know how we managed to get them all on the slide at the same time and happy too!

On May 30th our dear friend Abby was married to Mike... They each have five children and so this beautiful family's first purchase was a 12 seater van!! We are so happy for them and wish them nothing but the very best...
Abby asked me to do the flowers for the wedding...I am definitely not a florist and I was a little bit worried about how it would all turn out! I know I could never have done it without the help of my sweet sister Lisa and it would have been impossible without the help of my sister in law, Sharon and her wonderful friend Deb. They dropped everything they were doing and helped us from 6pm until midnight! Thank You Thank You!!! The next morning we all met at the church and worked all day putting together the flower arrangements and bouquets. Kathy, Keri, Jan, Sherry, Diane, Lisa and I had a great time working together and helping to make the reception beautiful. It was a great memory and I am so grateful for the wonderful friends that fill my life with such great examples of selfless service and love.

Mike and Abby and their 10 children!!!

Congratulations Abby! We love you!!!

The next day my cute nephew Ethan was baptized. It was so great that they were able to do it here instead of Utah because then Grami and Grampa were able to be there. It turned out wonderful and was a special day for everyone. Ethan said this right after the baptism...
" Mom, I just feel so clean. It feels good!"

Ethan loves his Grami Colleen and Grampa Jack

Tonight was Taylor's Kidshine performance... Taylor loves to sing more than anything!!!
She was absolutely adorable and even had a solo. The songs were oldies... and I hate to admit it but I knew every word!! I especially loved the song Taylor sang for her solo... "Close To You"... It was my very favorite song when I was a teenager... Taylor is a superstar!!!!!
